Snow Stars uses solid block ice shaved by hand, premium syrups crafted for depth of flavor - no artificial thickeners, no waxy aftertaste and fresh-cut fruit - not canned. That combination produces a soft, fluffy texture that absorbs flavor all the way through, the way authentic Kakīgōri and Hawaiian shaved ice is meant to be made.
Most shaved ice machines use compressed pellet ice. Pellet ice is dense, icy, and flavoring sits on top. Block ice shaved on a proper blade produces something different - feather-light layers that soak up syrup evenly from top to bottom. Your guests taste flavor in every bite, not just the first one.
