Snow Stars is based in Dimondale, Michigan (10 minutes south of Lansing) and services a 1-hour radius. That covers all of Greater Lansing - Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, DeWitt, Grand Ledge, Holt, Mason, Charlotte, Eaton Rapids, Williamston, and surrounding communities. Need us further out? Ask - we sometimes travel longer for the right event.
Three packages: $250 (up to 50 guests, 60-minute service), $400 (up to 150 guests, 90-minute service), $550 (up to 300 guests, 120-minute service). Larger events get a custom quote. All packages include block-shaved ice, all 13 flavors, signature combos, standard toppings, compostable cups and spoons, setup, service, and breakdown. See the Prices page for full details.
Our standard menu is dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free by default - block-shaved ice with 100% raw cane sugar syrups and fresh fruit. The one exception is our Chocolate specialty (almond-based, contains tree nuts), which we serve from a separate station on request. For severe allergies, tell us in advance and we will walk through the station with you and the guest before service to confirm everything is safe. We have served events with diagnosed dairy, gluten, and peanut allergies safely for three years.
Yes. Snow Stars holds a Special Transitory Food Unit (STFU) license through the Barry-Eaton District Health Department (BEDHD) - the Michigan credential required for outside vendors at schools, corporate facilities, and public events. We carry $2 million in liability insurance and can send a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming your venue as additional insured within 24 hours of request. Email snowstars517@gmail.com with the venue contact and we will send the COI directly.
For rain or extreme heat, we coordinate with you on a covered location - garage, tent, awning, pavilion, or indoor space. Snow Stars is a fully mobile cart that fits any covered space. If your event needs to be rescheduled due to weather, your $100 deposit is refundable up to 14 days before the event. Closer to the date, we work with you to find a new date in the same season.
